Owning a pet store it is not as fun as it may look. Sure they are around cute pets all day long and get to hold, play and walk them but it does not end there. They also have to clean their waste everyday, wash and make sure they are healthy by checking them with a veterinary on a regular basis.
Here are 10 secrets that the store owners never say out loud.
#1 As I said…massive amount of poop, pee, and vomit as well that needs to be clean daily.
#2 The worst of the worst is when costumers bring their pups with them while shopping. Since they are just pups, sometimes they pee on products that are on sale. And ironically instead the staff has to go and chase after him while the owner just stands by.
#3 If you have no noticed before, all the bottom shelves at a pet store are with plastic packages because they are more prone to get peed on.
#4 Smaller dogs tend to be more aggressive than the big ones. This is so true and will always be a big mystery to me.
#5 You thought that the worst part of bathing a dog is washing them, than you are wrong. There is one thing dogs hate more than water and shampoo and that is being dried off.
#6 Dogs that live outside in that yard find it difficult to stay still or obey to your commands in general.
#7 There are people that can not handle to stick around while the veterinary is giving an injection to their pup. There are even some that need more comfort than the actual pet.
#8 There are a lot of young people that find working with pets is a great temporary job while they are in collage. But is not always like that, these is can be a great career and more importantly a satisfying line of work.
#9 Being a professional pet groomer is not as easy as it may sound. You need to be very disciplined and patient. Plus you have to learn basic skills such as bathing and shearing the pet to more difficult ones as grooming is.
#10 Several customers swear by that their pet is an angle and how blessed they are to have such a well behaved and gentle pet. When next thing you know, they have turned the place in a total mess the moment you were not paying attention.
