11 Things Your Dog’s Waving Tail Is Trying To Tell You

Every time to tend to interpret our dogs waving tail in on of the two ways listed below:
1. Wagging = happy
2. Down/between the legs = sad

But there is a lot more meaning hidden on our dogs tails than you have ever thought about. An entire conversation is happening while they wave the tail. In most of the cases we are used to the fast wagging tail, but there are a lot of emotion indicators hidden. Italian scientists have discovered that the direction of the wag tells a lot about your dogs mood. Swinging the tail to the right means the dog is happy or excited, a shift to the left means something is wrong.

For us humans, this movements are slight and difficult to perceive most of the time. However, dogs are pretty keen on picking up “tail speak. Even if we don’t understand them, dogs totally do.

Also the speed of the wag its very important, for example: If the dogs sees someone known the dogs tail will move to the wright, but if they wag more slowly they are seeing someone unfamiliar to them.

Most tail speak is easy to decipher, if you know the language. Here’s a quick primer:
