Bullmastif could not walk when she was born, but today she can do more then just walk… Heartmelt

Willow is the Neapolitan Mastiff I am going to tell you about in this post. Unfortunately when Willow was born she was not able to walk. She could not walk at all because she was suffering from Swimmer Puppy Syndrome, so she would lie flat on her stomach all the time. The breeder did not want to keep her, so he posted on Facebook that unless someone showed up to take the puppy, he would put her to sleep. Fortunately for Willow, the message was seen by Jennifer Williams of 2nd Chances Rescue in Norco. the video at the very end will give you a great summary of Willow’s story.
This is Willow when he was born. This is how he would stay all day long. Poor creature would starve if someone would not give him something to eat.

Once his breeder posted on Facebook that he would get rid of her, Jennifer Williams of 2nd Chances Rescue in Norco rushed to rescue the poor puppy from the one who didn’t want her.

They put her to therapy immediately because they knew what needed to be done with willow. “Willow took some of her very first steps on Day 2 of her Therapy.”

“By Day 5 Willow was walking on her own without wraps on, she was even beginning to run. Willow was very determined and eager to learn. The more she was able to move the more vocal she became.”

Shortly after the Acuscope/Myopulse Therapy Willow was able to walk just like a normal dog would. Of Course it took a lot of determination, hard work, dedication and love, but the results are the ones that matter, and they were great.

“She has since been adopted by a wonderful family where she is adored and loved. This wonderful family adopted both Willow and her best friend Rocky!”

“Willow is not only a big girl, but she is big in heart, big in personality and big in spirit!”

She is living with a loving family now, and life would never feel so good if it wasn’t for the 2nd Chances Rescue in Norco, she would have never made it. The following will tell you a little bit more about her sad, yet inspiring story!
