These Dogs Lead The Pack In The World’s Most Usual Unit

This is the story of hero dogs that lead the pack in places where snowmobiles are not able to go due to their malfunction from the cold. These special dogs carry man and they together form an unit force which is the world’s only military dogsled team.

The man that are carried from the dogs serve as rangers in these deep areas filled with snow. It is incredible to hear that they have used sled dogs to patrol for more than 60 years from now.

For the sleeding to be successful the man has to communicate with the dogs all the time by encouraging, scolding, praising or whistling.


Although the weather it is too harsh for man to wonder by the special force is not always alone in there. Sometimes it happens to cross by polar bears or even a musk. If such think happens the dogs are the first to notice and they make a growling sound to let the patrol know too.

Since during the winter months in the pole is dark most of the time it comes in handy the amazing sense of smell these dogs have. Usually these special dogs serve for up to 5 years in the sled.

The special bond between the patrols and the dogs is inevitable, because of the time they spent together. They know each dogs personality. There are times they spend up to two years on this operations so it is natural they become close with the dogs and consider them as family.
