Have you ever heard of Service dogs? Service dogs aid for psychiatric, anxiety, panic disorders, severe depression, Post Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD), visual and hearing impairments, as well as many other things. Usually we see service dogs guiding or guarding, but that is not always the case. They are much more functional than that. Below are listed eight different tasks these dogs are able to accomplish in order to help those in need.
1- They know when to bring the medication to their owners. They are well-trained, so they have to serve to their owner as much as they can.
2- This is Jake, and he is such a great service dog. He can also help his owner with house chores, and he knows how to do the laundry!
3- Service dogs tend to have great memory, so they are able to help their owner with grocery shopping. They always remember their owners favorite!
4- Look at Divvy. He is such a well-trained dog, and can do almost everything his owner needs him to do!
Open and close the door!
Push the button to open the door
5- They can reach places their owners can’t.
6- Service dogs perfectly understand different commands. For example how to set up a wheelchair. They know how to put wheelchair foot plates up and down.
7- This is Gizmo and he gets the paper every-morning for his owner.
