In China is organized a festival called “Yulin Meat Festival”, where they kill thousands of Yulin dogs for the event. This thing lasts 10-days in a row. There are dozen of slaughterhouses established all over the country. I am outraged just by reading this. We could not imagine what those poor unfortunate dogs go throw in there.
Fortunately many activists are doing their best to shut this down once and for all. With all the difficulties that arise along the way they haven’t given up. There have been moments they have risked they own well-being and were even detained from the authorities for the greater cause. They are fighting to shut down those slaughterhouses and they have succeeded. Six are down until now and they also have managed to save over 1000 dogs. This will be a long fight, but it sure is worth it.
The activists have come several times in China to save abused dogs. The opposition against Yulin is also rising among the Chinese themselves. And I am glad to say that many of them have taken the protest this cruelty in the streets. It seems like there will be a light for this innocent dogs after all. Lets just hope it comes as soon as possible the day where we won’t come across this kind of tragic stories.
