In a massive adoption event 524 dogs and cats found their forever homes.

A few weeks ago ASPCA the American Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals hosted an adoption event for 524 dogs and cats in Sanford, North Carolina. All these 524 dogs and cats which had been rescued from appalling conditions were waiting to find their forever home.

“By 9:45 A.M. , at least 300 people were in line, and groups of 50 at a time were ushered to a large shaded tent where they filled out adoption applications,” ASPCA writes on their website. “The bell rang 524 times over two days to celebrate each rescued dog or cat that was getting a second chance at life,” ASPCA stated.

Everyone was happy to get to adopt an animal that had been rescued from horrible conditions.

Feels good to be able to adopt an animal that has suffered so much in the past. I bet all these new pet parents will treat their little ones with lots of love and yummy treats.

Every time an animal got adopted the bell rang. Once a bell rang, another animal got lucky. These creatures deserve everything and more because they have been living in a terrible reality.

Everyone was just happy during the two days the adoption event was taking place. As you can see there were happy faces all around.

Everyone was determined to make these animals happy, and that is exactly what they did.

The rescuers at the ASPCA were really happy that these pets found a new loving home, but that doesn’t mean that they are not going to miss them.

Here is a pet owner who seems truly happy for her decision. Looks like someone is going to get lots of hugs and cuddles very soon.

A reminder for everyone that was attending the adoption event.

This is how the shelter looked at the end of day two. MISSION ACCOMPLISHED.
