Doing sports with your dog is a great way to bound with one another as well as improve the overall health. Now days the number of dog’s sports is becoming countless but here we will bring to you the most popular ones.
#1 Dog agility- is all about overcoming the track faster than others. The obstacles on the track vary from tunnel barrier to swing, slalom etc. In this sport most importantly is to demonstrate agility and the ability to work in team the man and the dog. The dogs receive only voice commands. Or dogs are allowed to participate regardless of the breed, height or weight.
#2 Freestyle- you need a lot of charisma, movements and courage to have a chance on winning in this game. Only the most artistic dogs get the first place. This sport requires breeds that have good musical abilities and respond fast to commands.
#3 Frisbee- is all said in the name with this one. Dogs have to catch the plastic discs and the fun part is that there is no need for special placement or investments. Frisbee brings a lot of joy to out fury friends and also keeps them in good physical shape. Jumpy breeds as Border Collies, Fox Terriers, etc are the best at this game.
#4 Pitch&Go- this one is kind of like Frisbee, but in this case the dogs have to bring balls or other special items used in this game. All breeds are more than capable of playing pitch&go.
#5 Fly Ball- in this game dogs have to work in teams and the idea is to overcome obstacles with a shady ball and without it. Only four dogs are allowed to participate and it is very important for them to coordinate their actions with each other.
#6 Weight Pulling- any kind of breed can participate on this one as long as their are capable to move the load, which is the whole idea of this game. Practicing this sport helps dogs develop strength.
#7 Canicross- is team running sport where dogs run ahead and the owners run behind them and control the dogs just by using their voice. This kind of sport is not for those kind of breeds that have long hair because they are very sensitive to sunburn and can not tolerate exposure for to many hours.
