The dog is widely known as well as Captain Ron and lives in a sanctuary, where apparently has won over many human hearts.
He was taken in the sanctuary two years ago. He started raising into fame due to his previous owner. They spotted him on the sanctuaries Facebook page and reached to them expression their excitement for finding their precious dog.
He went missing exactly two years ago and when the days and months went by without any sign from him, his family started to lose hope. After that much time they even thought he was dead. I can imagine the joy this family had when learning that he was alive and in very good hands.
Here are some photos of the Captain Ron when he was just a puppy. Now he is 13 years old and is a mix breed between Great Pyrenees-Rottweiler. He grew up surrounded with cows and sheep in a farm.
Unfortunately he lost an eye from a fungal disease as a result of blastomycosis. At the beginning he was a solitary dog.
At first he was kept at a shelter after being rescued but then due to his age and condition they had to send him to a sanctuary or he would have not survived otherwise.
But he has changed and evolved a lot since then. He now has buddies to play and hang out with.
And there are also times where he acts all tuff and scary but we deep down he is known to be very sweet and social dog.
His previous owners had moved to another state, but they could not be more happy to see how well his lost puppy is doing.
Seeing how wonderfully he is treated they decided to let him stay there since now the sanctuary is what he calls home. They are working all day anyways so what better place for him to live than where he is currently staying surrounded by fellow animals a humans.
