We all know that little by little winter will be here! Time goes by way to fast, so you need to take care of a few things, in order for you to be prepared for a content cold weather. Try to make the freezing cold weather easier for yourself and your beloved companions! Make sure to follow this 7 tips I have prepared for you because you will need them soon enough!
1- Bring your dogs outside on a daily basis! Try to make it easier for them to adjust to the cold weather little by little. Prepare your dogs physically, and mentally for the new season to come!
2- Provide your dog a shelter. If your dog lives outside then it will be difficult for it to get through the cold weather, if it doesn’t have a warm shelter!
3- If you have small puppies, or a breed that doesn’t have a thick coat then you should buy winter clothing for your dogs. You might think that their coat is good enough, but you are wrong. They feel the cold just like we do!
4- Make sure that the ID information of your dog in updated. Sadly in winter time dogs loose their house way to often. This happens because the snow makes it very difficult for them to find their home, or follow their tracks!
5- Check your dog way to often for frostbite. They could get frostbite in their ears, tail, and paws. Frostbite makes the skin look pale, blue, and skin that stays cold all the time.
6- Prepare your dog for winter in the best way possible. Get all the Emergency First Aid Kit you might need, and make sure to keep your Vet on call if your dear dog happens to get ill during the freezing season!
7- Look out for Strays. They need a shelter if you have one, or a warm, blanket, or some food. Try to think about the pure creatures that do not have a home. They need it most!
