The four year old Pit Bull named Kobe was in a really bad shape when his owner gave up on him. Looks like they didn’t want the dog anymore so they gave him away to a Maryland shelter. It was obvious that the person who had the dog previously did not take proper care of him, so the shelter though that the dog needed a foster home to take care of him for a while, until they would be able to find him a forever home. I gotta say that Kobe was a pretty lucky dog because immediately Sean Stinchcomb and his wife Jade stepped in and offered to foster the pooch.
This is how Kobe looked like when he got to the shelter. The poor creature looked sad and lifeless.
Lucily a great couple decided to give him shelter until he was able to find a forever home. Here is a picture of the couple and Kobe at the day they fostered him.
Within a couple of days Kobe totally transformed. He was loving the new temporary home just because everyone was so nice and loving towards him.
“When he came into the shelter, he was underweight and it was found that he has heartworms which we are treating right now,” Sean told Bored Panda.
“He has been with us for 3 weeks now. He has really come out of his shell since coming into our home,” Sean added. “He loves everyone he meets. He runs up to you and just melts at your feet if you start to pet him and show him affection.”
““He does smile a lot. He is a very happy dog and loves it when you sit on the floor or ground with him so he can sit with you and get lots of love. He is a big fan of yard time so he trots around the backyard and comes inside with a big smile on his face.”
