This poor Pit Bull mix was found by a man on the street with her muzzle taped with electrical tape, bleeding and her tongue out. He called the 911 because he did not know what else to do.
She was sent to Animal Society where she got attended immediately. The poor thing was in excruciating pain. In order to recover fully the dog needed several surgeries.
Hearing about the story a fundraiser was set up and due to media attention, there were donated more than 150.000 dollars. Since the surgeries costed way less the excess was used to help other animals in medical need.
She know is considered a canine ambassador for abuse victims. Many cities were inspired to harshen the punishment set for animal abusers.
During this time she has been living with a foster family. They say she is quite the player and loves to hang out with her foster siblings all the time. Once the trial for her abuser comes to an end she will become a forever dog.
