It literally breaks my heart seeing how human are capable of such cruelness. How could any human being live this pup in such misery. The poor think was so starved that his organs were just moment away from organ failure. To her good luck someone found her and in this case he did took care off her and did his best to save her life.
Practically all her muscle was gone and as a consequence she could barely stand let alone walk.
After being found she was sent immediately to an animal center.
Although her chances to recover and live through it were quite slim but still the vet did not quit on her.
She had been starving to that extreme that only her head and tail were movable. Even the vet stated that through all his experience with dogs he had never seen one in such a horrible condition as this one.
Since she weighed only 16lbs they put her on a drip for six hours first before giving her any solid foods.
After a week of being feed she gained almost 9 lbs but still she wasn’t strong enough to stand. She would stand for some seconds and than crash on the floor.
As the weeks went by she kept being taken care off with food as well as will lots of love. All this affection started to show as she improved day by day.
Spending that much time with the starved pup, the man that found her was the one that decided to adopt her by taking the pup home. She know lives with his family as well as 5 other dogs. Currently she weights 42 lbs and is on good way towards recovery.
Still is a mistery how the dog ended up in the condition she was found. The clinic got a call from the police saying that the former owner of her had said that he had found her that way. But there is not a chance that a dog living out on the streets and eating from the garbage can look like that. Chnces are she has been kept in a room locked up and deprived of food.
It is very important to get to the bottom of these case, especially for the man that found her and is he actuall owner.
The dog did not had a chip on her which makes it even more difficult to find the responsible. As he describes himself, he went in a state of shock when he first laid eyes on the dog and looking at the pup now it is truly incredible the recovery she has gone through and how healthy and energetic she has become.
