The earthquake and tsunami that hit Japan in 2011 also destroyed the nuclear reactors caused leak extremely dangerous levels of radiation. People had no choice but flee and leave everything behind. During the evacuation many animals were abandoned. But then appeared a hope for them because one man couldn’t let them suffer alone. See these amazing pictures of his everyday work…
#1- Naoto Matsumura risks himself to radiation every day in order to feed and care abandoned animals.
#2- He loved his dogs and can not leave them behind.
#3- Firstly he returned to his home to find his own pets but he discovered that there was many other animals alone.
#4- They told him that he wold be sick for 30 or 40 years but Naoto said: Ï don’t care, i cant live more than 30 years even if i don’t feed these animals”.
#5- When he arrived he saw that around 120 cows had died from starvation.
#6- He decided then that the disaster had taken enough of a toll already.
#7- Then he began freeing all animals that has been closed by their owners.
#8- He is now the primary source of food and care for many of these animals.
#9- A former construction worker, Matsumura believes that this is his duty.
#10- He hopes that the radiation may not last forever and the community will return one day.
