This is one of those stories that you hear one in a life time. Is about a very special friendship between a baby elephant and a ostrich. Yes you read it right, an OSTRICH!
It all began when the poor baby elephant separated from the herd and lost his mother. He was just 1 month old when this happened, that is why he was taken to an orphanage to be taken care of.
Although there were plenty other elephants there, he bounded more easily with an ostrich.
The ostrich was rescued two years ago and since than she became part of the orphanage.
They sure enjoy snuggling with each other. This friendship came when the little elephant needed her the most.
She has spent so much time around elephants that probably she believes is one of them now.
They love to be around each other and cuddle. Love is truly the greatest medicine!
