This Soldier Couldn’t Let This Sick Cat Back In Afghanistan

Many years ago the woman was serving in Afghanistan when a vulnerable tinny kitten came in into her life. The soldier felt a special bond with the poor kitten.

He could barely stand on his own, and every time he did, ended up flipping over.

As it turned out the feline suffered from Cerebellar Hypoplasia (CH). It is a non progressive disease but does affects the motor skills. That explains how come the kitten wobbles when he tries to walk on his own.

The female soldier got so attached with the kitten that she even named her, Felix. She even decided to get the kitten with her back in the States. Meanwhile, since she was on duty and could not take care of a kitten there on her base, paid some money to transfer the kitten to a shelter located in Kabul. There they were supposed to take care of her until the female soldier could go and take her home.

After months, finally she could fly back home, and take her adorable kitten with her. It did cost her a lot of money to get her back to the states, but at that point all she wanted was to take her kitten with her regardless of the costs.

Now days the cat still leaves with the retired female soldier, her husband and another male cat.

The woman really sees her cat Felix, as a sent angel from above when she most needed protection. She even says that this cat has her through the toughest times.
