You will not loose your puppy if you follow 8 steps

Usually we hear stories, or read signs in the street of lost dogs. It is such a tragedy to loose your beloved companion, but it happens. My heart really aches every-time I hear about such sad stories. Today I want to give you some advices how to take care of your puppy, and prevent his or her lost.
1- Microchip your puppy

A chip will be injected into your dogs shoulder area with his or her owner personal information. If your dog gets lost every animal shelter is able to read the microchip, and shortly after the lost you will be able to reunite with your puppy.

2- Keep an eye on your dog

It doesn’t matter how well-trained your dog is, if they find something interesting outside of the house, they will find a way to escape. Make sure to keep an eye on your dog every-time you let them outside.

3- Get a good leash

You should get yourself a good strong leash, so you prevent any surprises from your every-day walk with your highly energetic dog.

4- Buy a good collar with an ID tag

Make sure to find the most appropriate dog collar. It should be strong, but at the same time comfortable for your puppy. Accompany the collar with an ID tag just to be on the safe side.

5- Check your fence

Time after time check your backyard fence. Your dogs might be digging a hole and they can escape very easily. Also make sure that the fence is high enough that your dog can’t jump.

6- Get your puppy spayed or neutered

You have to be aware that the crazy hormones will push dogs to escape in order to find a partner. If you spay or neuter your puppy hormones will not be a problem for them.

7- Practice the “STAY” command

If your dog listens to you, then you should teach them to “STAY” still whenever the front door opens. Sometimes you might have to use treats, but you will prevent your dog from running away.

8- Avoid crowded places

Dogs get really confused when they find themselves in crowded laud noises. Make sure to avoid crowded places because you will save yourself trouble.
