One of these programs is to help training Pit Bulls to be police dogs. Many police departments are not spending thousands of dollars to buy trained German Shepherds or Belgian. They are taking out Pit Bulls from animal shelters to train instead.
Doing so Pit Bulls are given a home and with the proper training they are able to do anything you ask because they tend to be very obedient as a breed. That is why we can totally see them as police dogs.
