One of their friends happened to be a woodworker so they built a custom chair from scratch just for Eli.
As you can see the chair has a interchangeable bowl and also armrest. What this does, is it helps Eli to stay upright while eating. This way the food travels easier to the stomach without using almost at all his weak esophagus muscles.
