Here we present some informations and tips about how to travel with a Siberian Husky.
Traveling with a Siberian husky can be a challenge for new owners or people that are not familiar with dog travel. The best comfortable travel for Siberian huskies would be with a large vehicles. Siberian huskies can do well in the back seat of an automobile provided there’s room for them to stretch out and sleep comfortably.
When you are traveling with your husky make sure u open a window. Always open your car window enough for your husky to get their nose through but no more than their head. Your husky might try to jump from the car if the window is open enough to fit its body. Another important thing to remember is to deactivate the switches on vehicles equipped with power windows. When your husky stands on the doors armrest, they often activate the window switch which can either open the window further allowing them to escape or close the window on their necks which can lead to injury or suffocation.
Is important to stop every 2-3 hours so your dog can relieve themselves and also give them something to drink. Is recommended to keep them on a leash.
Some people use for their dogs pet carriers and suv’s. That is a good choice. Regardless what you chose for your Siberian husky you have to make sure that your dog has enough space to stay on your car comfortably.
