Never allow your Shepherd to believe he is the pack leader over his human hosts, or you will have problems. Keep the mental and physical daily exercises stable and constant. Owners need to be authoritative in a calm but firm manner. Most well-adjusted Shepherds are good with other pets and wonderful with children. They can get annoyed when “bothered” constantly by children and pets, but they will get over it.
