Lionel Messi gives gift to all of his Inter Miami team mates after Atlanta United win

DeAndre Yedlin has revealed a generous gift from Lionel Messi following the World Cup winner’s arrival at David Beckham’s MLS franchise.

Inter Miami defender DeAndre Yedlin was spotted wearing a gift from Lionel Messi after the team’s 4-0 win over Atlanta United. The Argentine has already impressed on the pitch for his new side and has quickly become a locker room favorite after presenting each of his new team mates with a unique present.

Messi has made an instant impact at Inter Miami since becoming a free agent following two years at Paris Saint-Germain. The 36-year-old scored just minutes into his debut against Cruz Azul with a inch perfect freekick and has gone a step further in his second game for the team.

The Argentine scored twice and registered an assist as Miami thrashed Atlanta by four goals. But it’s his gestures off the field that have his new team mates talking.

Following the win, Miami right-back DeAndre Yedlin was speaking to the media and was seen wearing custom made pink and black Beats by Dre headphones featuring the club’s badge. When asked how fans could buy them he replied: “Yeah, that’s Messi.

“Messi got them for the team. I don’t know if he bought them but he gave everybody headphones for his first game.”

The gift isn’t the first generous offer Messi has made for his new team mates since joining the club. The seven time Ballon d’Or winner came to the rescue to help get tickets for his elaborate unveiling at the DRV PNK Stadium before his arrival.

Speaking after the event, Yedlin said: “The big event that he had on Sunday, [Leonardo] Campana was looking for tickets and he put in the group chat, ‘Hey, does anybody have any tickets?’ And then I didn’t even know that Leo was in or Messi was in the group chat yet. But he popped up straight away and said, ‘How many do you need though?’ Straight away like that.
